CountDelight works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 26.0 or later. With CountDelight Pro and iCloud sync enabled, your countdowns seamlessly sync across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account.

CountDelight is 100% private by design. Your data stays on your device (or in your personal iCloud with Pro). No account is required, no personal data is collected, and there is no analytics or tracking. We cannot see your countdown titles, notes, or any personal information. CountDelight is one of the most privacy-respecting apps available.

CountDelight Pro is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks: iCloud sync across all Apple devices, two-way calendar integration with Apple Calendar, 30+ premium themes, journals for capturing memories alongside countdowns, an on-device AI assistant for smart suggestions, and a daily briefing feature.

Open CountDelight and tap the + button. Enter a title for your event (e.g., "Mom's Birthday"), pick the date, and optionally choose a custom color, icon, and tag. Tap Save — your countdown is ready. You'll see it on your main screen with a beautiful display of exactly how many days, hours, and minutes remain.

Long-press on your iPhone home screen until the icons jiggle. Tap the + button in the top-left corner. Search for "CountDelight" in the widget gallery. Choose your preferred widget size — small (one countdown), medium (a few countdowns), or large (detailed view). Tap "Add Widget" and position it where you like. The widget updates automatically to show your upcoming countdowns at a glance.

Long-press on your lock screen and tap "Customize". Select the lock screen layout area where you want the widget. Tap + and search for CountDelight. Choose a lock screen widget style — you can show days remaining for your most important countdown right on your lock screen without unlocking your phone.

Open any countdown and tap the Tasks tab. Tap the + button to add a new task. You can add as many tasks as you need — perfect for gift shopping lists, vacation packing checklists, wedding planning steps, or exam study tasks. Check items off as you complete them. Tasks stay organized right alongside the countdown they belong to.

With CountDelight Pro, go to Settings within the app and toggle on iCloud Sync. Make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account on all your devices. Once enabled, all your countdowns, tasks, notes, themes, and settings automatically sync. Changes you make on your iPhone appear on your iPad within seconds, and vice versa.

With CountDelight Pro, go to Settings and enable Calendar Integration. The app will ask for permission to access your Apple Calendar — tap Allow. Once connected, your calendar events are automatically imported as countdowns. It works both ways: events you add in your calendar appear in CountDelight, keeping everything in sync without double entry.

When creating or editing a countdown, tap the Tags field. You can choose from preset tags (Birthdays, Work, Family, Travel, etc.) or create custom tags. Tags let you instantly filter your countdowns — tap any tag on the main screen to see only countdowns in that category. This is especially useful when you have many countdowns and want to focus on one area of your life.

Open the countdown you want to share, then tap the Share button. You can share via Messages, WhatsApp, social media, email, or any other app. Your friends will receive a beautiful countdown card they can view — even if they don't have CountDelight installed. If they do have the app, they can add the countdown to their own collection.

Open a countdown and tap Edit. You can change the color, icon, and theme for each individual countdown. With CountDelight Pro, you unlock 30+ premium themes including romantic, playful, elegant, minimal, and seasonal designs. Every countdown can have its own unique look to match the occasion.

When creating or editing a countdown, scroll to the Reminders section. You can set notifications for specific times before the event — for example, 1 week before, 1 day before, and on the day itself. CountDelight sends beautifully formatted notifications so you never miss an important moment.

All AI processing in CountDelight Pro happens entirely on your device — nothing is sent to the cloud, keeping your data completely private. The AI features require a device that supports Apple's on-device Foundation Models. If we ever introduce optional cloud-powered AI features, they will be offered as a separate, opt-in product and are not included in CountDelight Pro.

Journals (Pro feature) let you capture memories, thoughts, and reflections alongside your countdowns. Write journal entries about your wedding planning journey, document your pregnancy, or reflect on a year of milestones. Journals add an emotional, personal layer to your countdown experience that no other app offers.

Widgets occasionally need a refresh. Try these steps: open the CountDelight app briefly (this triggers a widget update), check that Background App Refresh is enabled for CountDelight in iOS Settings, and make sure you have enough storage space. If the issue persists, remove the widget and re-add it. iOS manages widget update schedules, so there may be a short delay during heavy system use.

Make sure iCloud sync is enabled in CountDelight Settings (requires Pro). Verify both devices are signed into the same iCloud account. Check that iCloud Drive is enabled in your iOS Settings. Ensure both devices have an internet connection. If sync is delayed, open the app on both devices — this can trigger an immediate sync. As a last resort, toggle iCloud sync off and back on.

Open CountDelight on your new device, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. Your Pro features will be restored automatically at no additional cost — it's a one-time purchase that works across all your devices.
